My Quarantine Cuties and Lockdown Lovers, if you feel like you have been struggling to think of new date ideas that don’t involve either drinking at a bar or eating at a restaurant, then believe me, you are not alone.
Keeping the flame alive can be as hard as keeping up with the latest lockdown restrictions and re openings. When it comes to quarantine date ideas, you don’t have to reinvent the wheel. Keep it simple to keep it exciting.
Here you will find my 10 favourite cute AF quarantine date ideas to try today.

1. Movie Night
Going to the movies has always been a great excuse to eat way too much popcorn and cozy up to your boo in the dark. Why not create that at home?! Head to your local shop, pick up a bunch of snacks + drinks and recreate that theatre magic. Want to make it even BETTER than a movie theatre? Build a fort in the living room using all the pillows and blankets you can find in the house.

2. Plan an Indoor or Outdoor Picnic
Most of these dates will include drinks and/or snacks… you can already tell what kind of woman I am. There is something so romantic about a picnic. Grabbing a blanket, a cute meal with drinks and some music is beautifully simplistic. Enjoy some good quality time chatting and growing together as a couple. Try and get outdoors somewhere, even if it’s just the backyard or a public park. Don’t let bad weather stop you from having a picnic, they can always be done inside! Set up on the floor and put a nature video on the TV.

3. Take a Virtual Yoga/Fitness Class
It can be tough to get motivated to workout, especially these days… but with so many people now turning to ‘at home’ virtual workouts, there are endless options online. From Pamela Reif on YouTube to the Downdog yoga app (two of my go to’s!) you can find the perfect match for you and your partner. If you’re looking to support a small business check out your local studios’ social media and/or website for what they have to offer.

4. Backyard Camping
Grab a tent, a couple of sleeping bags, a fire pit and a flashlight. If you have a backyard, take advantage of the space and set up a cute little camping experience. For those of you who don’t enjoy the wilderness, don’t fret, home comforts are just steps away!

5. Fancy Candlelit Dinner (Cook at Home or Order In)
One of the ‘pre lockdown’ things I miss most is going out for meals. Why does food taste so much better when someone else makes it for you?! Plan a special dinner for you and your SO. Pick your favourite meal, light some candles, splurge on a nice bottle of wine or get the fixings for a fancy cocktail. Be sure to find the perfect playlist to set the mood (Our favourite is ‘KASA MOTO at golden hour’ on Spotify) and just enjoy your time together. If you’re able, skip all the work of cooking and support your local restaurant by ordering from them directly.

6. Spa Day
If you feel like you NEED a self care day, then its probably too late! Treat yourself and your partner to a day or night of pampering. My ideal spa day activities include face masks, a mani/pedi, and a massage to end it all. Hot tip: Coconut oil is an inexpensive, all natural massage oil alternative that I highly recommend.

7. Games Night
Who doesn’t love a games night? Get a little competitive or pick a game that will help you learn more about your partner. We love Scrabble for some good competition (loser cooks dinner tomorrow!) and are currently obsessed with We Are Not Really Strangers. It get’s us digging deep into our emotions and we always leave knowing more about each other and the strengths/weaknesses of our relationship.

8. Comedy Night
Your brain releases endorphins when you laugh, which naturally brings positive vibes – it’s science! Get a good laugh going by watching your favourite stand up comedian from the comfort of the couch. Want to take it to the next level? Create your own stand up comedy show to perform for your partner.

9. Tie Dye Party
Tie Dye is BACK! and it’s so much fun to create. The easiest way to start is to buy a tie dye kit which usually includes various dye colours, elastic bands & a pair of gloves. Grab white clothes and get creative! You can find tons of tutorials online which will show you how to make all the best designs.

10. Zoom Party
Sick of Zoom yet?! If not, a good old fashioned virtual house party or double, triple, quadruple date night is a great option to reconnect. Don’t forget drinks and snacks, of course! Make it even more fun by creating a custom trivia game on triviamaker.com.
Honourable Mentions: Start a book club, write a bucket list as a couple, learn a new language together, or just go for a walk.
